Rapunzel’s is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts venue. Live music every Saturday. We serve local wine/cider/beer, as well as fair-trade and organic coffee and tea!
Rapunzel’s is an eclectic arts venue, community space, coffee shop and used bookstore located in The Packing Shed in historic Lovingston, Virginia. Rapunzel’s Further Ado Foundation hosts live music every Saturday evening. Come let your hair down!
We host an acoustic Open Jam on the second Wednesday of the month, beginning at 7pm (ish). This is a relaxed, informal, very social round-robin-style evening of music. Styles trend through country,blues, oldtime, bluegrass, americana and folk, but our core group happily plays along with just about anything.
This event is appropriate for musicians of all ability levels. Feel free to lead a song, play along, sing, or just sit back and listen!
Saturdays are performances –predominantly music– but we also regularly host theatre and dance presentations as well. Shows start at 8pm.
• Open Mic Night is held on the second Friday of each month. Free for performers, $2 for audience.
• Jazz Sessions featuring our house jazz band, the Accidentals, guest artists, and a jazz jam are held the last Saturday of every month. Jazz night is free!!
• We hold quarterly Poetry and Fiction nights.
The space is also available for Private Parties and Group Meetings.
All ages are welcome, and kids under 12 get in free.
