Inspired by the social tradition of European café culture and the charm of light-filled Parisian boutiques, Amusé aims to bring a bit of the City of Light our very own Electric City. Amusé specializes in Fair Trade Organic whole bean coffee, loose tea, French-inspired pastries and will introduce Peterborough to exciting new ways of enjoying some classic favourites! Amusé isn’t your average coffee shop. In 1870 the building was sold and a boarding house was established . According to the achives, by 1883, The Montreal House was Peterborough’s first “Public House” serving beverages to the citizens of Peterborough and offering room and board on the second floor.
