zuma brings to hong kong a sophisticated twist on the traditional japanese izakaya style of informal eating and drinking with the highest quality ingredients and attention to details.
the zuma concept, which originated in london, is the brainchild of award-winning co-founder and creator, rainer becker. since 2002 with its own unique style, zuma expanded to 3 continents with 11 individual outlets in top cities including hong kong, istanbul, dubai, miami, bangkok, abu dhabi, datca peninsula, new york, rome and las vegas.
zuma prides itself on its diverse culinary offerings made fresh for lunch and dinner, as well as its famous weekend brunch.
following the japanese izakaya concept, food is served to share. the wide ranging menu combines zuma’s classic dishes with bold, intense flavors, placing an emphasis on simple presentation acquired through the quality ingredients. the dishes are created in three different cooking styles: the robata grill, the sushi counter and the main kitchen, all offering a variety of textures and tastes.
the exceptional dining experience is heightened by its unique interior and open kitchens. tokyo’s esteemed architecture and design company ‘studio glitt’, headed by the designer noriyoshi muramatsu, have created a layout to inspire indulgence.
zuma combines traditional and contemporary materials using four keys elements: natural wood, granite, glass and metal.
