St Stephen’s Church is a quiet space built around community in the centre of Norwich’s shopping area, with weekly worship, families work, and a cafe.

St Stephen's Church

St Stephen’s is one of many beautiful medieval churches in Norwich, with a rich history of being bold in faith, and open to others.

The church is open to visit during the published opening times, and there is an opportunity to see an exhibition of the restoration of St. Stephen’s.

Several small groups meet during the week for Bible study and prayer.
Courses such as Alpha and the CAP money course (Christians Against Poverty) also take place throughout the year.

11.30am- “All-age Worship”: a pattern of worship, teaching and ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit, with provision for children.

Onsite, we also run The Café, which is here for all. Open 6 days a week, it offers a different atmosphere and environment to commercial ventures; a peaceful place to come by yourself or with friends and family.
We operate this on a “pay what you can” policy, with a guide price, as opposed to fixed pricing, so that everyone can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and a nice cup of tea!
The food is all homemade or made on the premises, with many Fairtrade options also available.

In 2015 the Café celebrated 25 years of service, having opened in 1990 as a joint project with Age Concern.
