Roots Elana d’Zeita takes its name from Aramaic, the spoken language of geographical Palestine thousands of years ago. Elana d’Zeita is Aramaic for “the tree of oil”, referring to the olive tree. In Arabic, “roots” means jothor – جذور.
We incorporate our own Middle Eastern roots on the table along with a variety of Western dishes and heaps of Palestinian hospitality. Along with our delicious menu, we offer traditional German draught beer and an extensive cocktail menu featuring the Roots original filastina libre.
