ชื่อนี้คงสะดุดหูใครหลายคน ทำให้คิดและจินตนาการกันไปต่างๆ นานา แต่ความจริงแล้ว “สองผัวเมีย” เป็นเพียงคำพูดติดปากของผู้เฒ่าผู้แก่แถบนี้ ที่ใช้เรียกขานกันไปตามปกติ ในชีวิตประจำวัน เพราะไม่ค่อยจำชื่อร้านค้า ก็จะพูดเพียงว่า “ร้านของสองผัวเมีย ที่ตั้งอยู่ตรง...........” นอกจากคำนี้ก็ยังมีคำว่า “สองพี่น้อง, สองตายาย” เช่นกัน แต่เราเลือกคำว่า “สองผัวเมีย” มาเป็นชื่อร้านและบ้านของเรา เพราะสะดุดหูและไม่ซ้ำใคร
บ้านหลังนี้เปิดบริการเป็นที่พักแรมให้กับนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยือนเมืองเชียงคาน ด้วยบรรยากาศการต้อนรับที่อบอุ่น พร้อมกันนี้ชั้นล่างยังจัดเป็นร้านกาแฟ พร้อมมีโปสการ์ดภาพถ่ายของเมืองเชียงคานจำหน่าย เพื่อให้ผู้มาพักและนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยือนเมืองเชียงคาน ได้มานั่งพักผ่อนหย่อนใจพร้อมจิบกาแฟหอมกรุ่น และซื้อโปสการ์ดเก็บไว้เป็นที่ระลึก และเป็นของฝากติดไม้ติดมือ หรือส่งให้กับเพื่อนฝูง ญาติพี่น้องได้อีกด้วย
ภายในบ้าน ตกแต่งด้วยศิลปะล้านนาผสมอิสาน โดยใช้ไม้เป็นวัสดุหลักในแนว Modern Contemporary ให้บรรยากาศที่อบอุ่น และปรับให้มีความร่วมสมัยอย่างลงตัว มีสวนหลังบ้าน ซึ่งใช้เป็นมุมนั่งพักผ่อน สำหรับผู้ที่รักแมว ห้องน้ำก็ยังคงตกแต่งด้วยไม้ และหินแม่น้ำโขง ให้บรรยากาศเหมือนท่านอาบน้ำอยู่ในสวน ทำให้บ้านหลังนี้ผ่านการคัดเลือกให้เป็น 1 ใน 120 แห่ง ที่เป็น Thailand Boutique Hotels ปี 2011-2012 และเข้ารอบ Final List ของ Thailand Boutique Hotels ปี 2014-2015 จากโรงแรมและรีสอร์ททั่วประเทศ พร้อมกันนี้ยังได้รับประกาศนียบัตรชนะเลิศการบริการยอดเยี่ยม ปี 2016 จาก TripAdvisor

Husband & Wife Guesthouse derives its unique concept from the sophistication of ethnic pride, northern philosophy and the art of living in harmony with local family.
The house is located just steps away from the Mekong River on Chai Khong Road of Chiang Khan, Loei province. The three-floor wooden guesthouse is designed in Lanna and Isan style of interior decoration along with a surprise of exotic garden for cat's lover hidden behind the house. As through selected as 1 of 120 in the Thailand Boutique Hotels years 2011-2012 and Final List of Finalists Thailand Boutique Hotels & Resorts across the country from 2014 to 2015 year.
On the first floor, there are coffee shop where guests will find of good coffee & beverage together with nice postcard.
