The Eastgate Cafe and Brasserie is idyllically situated just a few short paces from the Tavistock town centre and is right next to the River Tavy. There is a large outdoor terrace alongside the River which is a must during the summer, allowing you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the river as you enjoy your food and drink. Hq Bar
HQ landed in July 2012 with a mission to bring the Big City Bar/Club vibe to Tavistock. In 2015, we are still going strong. HQ is a cocktail Bar in style from 5pm. Loosening up as the night goes on and the drinks flow, we make some space and create a dance floor for you to enjoy a cosmopolitan mash up of sounds from some of the South West's top DJs. We have a great Cocktail Menu and comprehensive Wine List for you to sample. We also specialise in Ultra Premium spirits.

The Tamar Trails Centre is the hub for outdoor activities in the Tamar Valley, and the start of a truly great day out.
With over 25km of trails following old mineral tramways around the former mining landscape, there really is something for everyone. The Elephants Nest
The Elephant’s Nest Inn is a quintessentially English – and Devonshire – country pub set in a peaceful location within the Dartmoor National Park. It is a place to meet, whether for a drink or to eat, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. There are open log fires, thick stone walls and slate floors inside, and outside there is a large and recently extended garden which provides marvellous views of the moor.
