Brewery and taproom located in Chippewa National Forest, MN. Focused on native wild yeast cultivation and brewing, Portage specializes in hybrid ale styles that are complex, crushable, and disruptive to their standard style guidelines. Boat, bike, or drive over for a pint.
Our team is comprised of lake dwellers, bikers, fishermen, hikers, and home brewers who all share a strong connection to the outdoors and craft beer. Being situated within Chippewa National Forest, off the banks of Leech Lake, we're designing products around the hearty conditions of Northern Minnesota. Whether that's a beer recipe or gear to pack it in, our products are tested and ready for the fishing holes, woodland hikes, and campfires that lie ahead.
