Kagen's love for crepes started about 10 years ago from a little crepe stand in a mall, and turned into a search for crepes wherever he traveled. In June of 2016 a space and opportunity came up that he just couldn't pass up, and on October 16th Kagen Coffee & Crepes opened in Richland, Wa. The menu includes savory crepes that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a filling snack, as well as sweet crepes that will satisfy any sweet-tooth! It was only natural to put a full coffee bar in as well, as coffee and crepes are a natural to pair together. The espresso used is roasted by a micro-roaster in Kagen's home-state of Montana called Folklore, who has won awards for his roasting. The syrups used for flavors are handcrafted in house, and include chocolate, white chocolate, vanilla, raspberry, lavender, peppermint and pumpkin spice. The atmosphere of the shop is welcoming for those wanting to visit and relax or needing a place to study. The shop seats about 30 and in the spring outdoor seating will be available as well.
