Monkton Elm Garden Centre
We celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2012.
Monkton Elm was bought in 1978 as a commercial nursery by Mr & Mrs Bellman. The garden centre was launched in 1982. Our first restaurant area was added in 1988, followed by a pet shop in 1991.
Today the garden centre is run with the help of nearly 100 staff. Some have been with the business for more than 25 years.
Our 30th anniversary celebrations kick off on Saturday, March 10 from 11am and we will have 30 weeks of events, ending on Sunday, September 30.

Rumwell Farm Shop is an independent, family-run, award-winning business owned by the Mitchell family. It is situated on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton.
It was originally a potato store, where David and Anne Mitchell began selling their potatoes and free range eggs at the gate.
Due to customer demand, the range of products soon increased and the farm shop grew into the place it is today. David and Anne’s sons, James and Jack, are now also involved in the business.

The Planet
The Planet is a family run cafe offering a 100% plant-based menu in a relaxed space. We'll be cooking the majority of our food fresh and on site to eliminate hidden nasties that are so often in pre-packaged and processed foods.
It's no fun to cook the same thing every day so we're steering away from a conventional set menu. We want our food to be affordable to as many people as possible, so as produce availability and prices change, so will the dishes we serve.
