In our shop section, we sell a wide range of authentic Italian products, including oils, sauces, balsamic vinegars, flours, pasta products, along with jams, chutneys, confectionaries, coffees, wines and more.
We also make custom hampers which have proven popular gifts for people who enjoy tasting or cooking authentic Italian food.

The history of this style of thatched cottage goes back to at least 1600. Rectangular in plan, it is never more than one room deep. In its most common form it has three compartments with the kitchen, the most important room placed centrally between two bedrooms and a parlour. Food was prepared on the hearth over a fire which was usually at floor level, and which was never allowed to go out, being rekindled each morning from a glowing ember. SPAR Ballingarry
The Spar Supermarket which exists today in Ballingarry originated in the 1940s as two roadside petrol pumps!
In 1984, Donie and Ruth O' Grady took over the family business and opened a grocery store in Ballingarry village.
This store was expanded to 280 sq feet in 1985 and then just four years later the store was moved to its current location and Spar Ballingarry was born.
Donie and Ruth chose to join the Spar group as the area of the village which the shop is located is known as The Sparr, meaning "the spurr of the hill".
