Owners Tim Musser & Kevin Short, both heavy equipment operators, have worked together all over here and there. They both decided in 2009 to start their own construction company to try to stay closer to home. Although they still enjoy construction work, they had talked many times about opening their own bar. After a lot of planning and hard work they found a spot that was perfect. As long time residents, Tim and Kevin asked 3 experienced and awesome bartenders if they would like to work at the new place. Welcome to Café Kitanishi, which many have called "the finest Japanese restaurant and sushi bar on the coast". We are located in Brookings, Oregon. Our fish is Sushi Grade #1, flown in from Hawaii.
