Our wine selection ranges from classic varietals like Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir (our Lake Michigan Shore series) to fruit-flavor enhanced (our Baroda Antique series) as well as dessert wines which include Sweet Harvest wine and chocolate-infused reds (our Delightful Dessert series). A WINE FOR EVERY PALATE!
Award-winning wine master Leonard Olson established Baroda Founders Wine Cellar in July 2009. He created a wide array of wines for over 40 years as a self-taught winemaker.
He co-founded the first Southwestern Michigan winery, Tabor Hill Winery, in 1968 and started their vineyard by planting Vidal Blanc and Aurora vines. The following year, twenty-seven more varieties including Chardonnay and Riesling were planted. Leonard is recognized by the Knights of Vine as the founder of the premium wine industry in Middle America.
For years, President Ford served Tabor Hill’s 1971 Vidal Blanc at the White House. Leonard created Luce Del Sole for Baroda Founders in the same style.
Fourteen of Leonard’s wines produced for Baroda Founders Wine Cellar received awards.
