Slumgothic derives from "Slum Gothic", a characterisation of the architectural style of x-church, formerly the Church of St. John the Divine, Gainsborough. x-church hosts resident artists, shows challenging art, helps young people and helps people with mental ill health. It is 'a space where things can happen'. Evolution of the project is flexible and accelerating. More things are happening.
