It's finally back as The Empress. The iconic bar has been restored to it's former glory with a modern touch.
The Empress was renowned for decades as the meeting, passing and finishing point of a true Geordie night out.
We have given it a new look and The Empress is firmly back in the hearts of thousands of visitors every week.
Think Middle-England Vs Ãœber Cool with homely booths and an awesome sound system.

The Empress has one of the largest selection of Beers, Spirits, Shooters, and Champagne outside of London.
We've have spent months creating unique Cocktails and refining classic recipes! Don't Imitate, Innovate!!
If it's not on the menu ask us and we'll make it if we can. If it's not in the fridge it's probably not worth drinking. And if it's not on the back bar then we've never heard of it!!
We only stock the best... Sorry Glen ya Vodka just doesn't cut the mustard.

The Empress is group friendly and the perfect venue for your party, event, or after work drinks.
We can also offer exclusive hire before our regular opening hours.
Whether you want a roped off area or booth amongst the other party revellers; or you want to hire the venue for your own event it is ideal for any occasion.
