In years gone by, prior to the sealed roads and highways and byways now found throughout Australia, roads travelled were often unsealed with towns found many miles apart.
Folks travelling by horse & cart would travel with their homemade meals and find a nice shady spot to rest a while. The Coolabah Tree, being a large, wide-spreading tree with an abundance of shady foliage, was the perfect place to rest under and enjoy their meal.
Hence our modern-day Coolabah Tree Cafe provides a comfortable place for travelers & explorers to rest & enjoy wholesome freshly prepared food.

We source the finest, ethically traded specialty coffees from around the world and small batch roast them in our roasting house in Yass, NSW, bringing you fresh, amazing tasting coffee that you don't have to feel guilty about.
We bring education and awareness about the issues of modern day slavery, human trade and poverty, and aim to offer support and training to organisations working to fight against these injustices.

We are now open and making great coffeee and selling great cheese. Find us 60 Comur St, Yass (no longer at the Farmers Market). Great local and seasonal produce. The range will be growing and changing every week.

We are open 7 days a week - but the last Sunday of each month we do take the day off..
We love our tea and coffee and use local coffee roasters (Lonsdate Street Roasters and Two Before Ten) and tea producers (Truely Tea). All are sustainable and fair trade.
Tootsie - fine art and design
Tootsie fine art and design studio provides unique exhibition spaces, restored workshop space for hire and sculpture garden for artists and art lovers of many mediums to present their work and their passions to the public. An authentic restoration of the beautiful Art Deco Building from 1937 has been a labor of love. We provide a friendly and funky atmosphere with awesome coffee and cakes - something different from the usual gallery. We have created an authentic 1940’s and 50’s environment to suit handcrafted works of creation by artists and artisans.
