Bowland Brewery
The Bowland Brewery Company started life in 2003 when the founder decided to follow his dream to establish a viable micro-brewery.
Over the next ten or so years the brewery went from strength to strength picking up lots of awards and commendations along the way. The core range of cask beers has continued to expand and now features Buster IPA (4.5%), Pheasant Plucker (3.7%) and the best seller Hen Harrier (4.0%) amongst others. For those preferring something altogether darker and richer Cromwell Stout (4.5%) has an exceptionally loyal following.
As the range of beers brewed has grown the number of pubs, bars and restaurants supplied have grown too. To keep up with demand the brewery has had to grow too. The founding principles of using only the finest ingredients in the perfect proportion with an obsessive
attention to detail remain the guiding principles of today. We have simply scaled the process up a bit.
In March 2015 the brewery relocated to become part of an exciting redevelopment of the Holmes Mill complex in the heart of Clitheroe. The new home, complete with mill chimney, albeit truncated, will
feature a beer hall, brewery tap and live music venue. Plans for the rest of the site include a variety of retail shops, apartments, studios and offices.
