I'm Tony and I own The Wine Buff Portlaoise. I'm doing this because I was getting tired of wine in Ireland. I just couldn't find anything that tasted like the wine I found abroad. Most wines gave me heartburn and a terrible headache in the morning. Who needs that?
Then I found the Wine Buff wines. Here's a little about us...
The founder of The Wine Buff, Paddy O'Flynn, spent three weeks on a vineyard in France in 1988. He liked it so much that he moved there and has been working in the wine business ever since.
Paddy finds great tasting wines from small family vineyards for us. These wine farmers use traditional and natural wine making practices. They are dedicated to producing wines of exceptional quality and character. The type of wine you will find abroad and wonder "Why can't I get this at home?".
We then bring these wines directly from the vineyard into our shops.
By working directly with the vineyard, we can offer these extraordinary wines at ordinary prices. In Ireland, we pay enough tax on wine without having to pay a middle man too.
Are you like me? Do you hate hangovers? Many of our wines are organic, natural and contain less chemicals than mass produced wines.
