The Curry Parlour

Rating 5.0 (average of 3 opinions)

The Curry Parlour is uniquely South African where friends gather after work to chat and socialize and where new friends are made

The Curry Parlour

The Curry Parlour was founded by Ram Balgobind in 2001. At first, it was across the road from the present location. He moved the Parlour to The Mews in around 2003. Following his passing in 2007, The Parlour has been run by his son, Dev with help from their closely knit family. It is unique in that people from all cultures, languages, race - you name it - gather there to socialize, chat, watch sport and also do lots of work in the community - including feeding of the needy and the annual Christmas toy drive for needy children. The saying at The Parlour: Arrive as a stranger, leave as a friend.
