Moulin de Chantegrolle is a restored water mill on the edge of the medieval village of Charroux in the Vienne department of South West France. The mill dates back to at least the 1700’s as it appears on the Cassini Map of medieval French waterways. Charroux and its famous Abbey have recently been awarded UNESCO status. We arrived to take over the restoration and running of the mill in 2015 and our yoga, retreats, workshops and holiday strands of the business are all continuing to grow and attract greater numbers of people. After three years of building renovations and experimentation we’re now able to focus on developing Moulin de Chantegrolle in a more specific direction to attract like-minded, positive people, groups and families. Our award-winning gite and two B&B studios are available for sole occupancy for up to 15 people to come for tailored experiences incorporating the best our region and personal expertise has to offer. We are open for businesses, family groups, friends, societies and associations who would benefit from having dedicated space and time to explore a range of leisure, personal development, relaxation and wellbeing experiences, including the following:
Yoga, meditation, music, art, cooking, massage and alternative therapies, kayaking, fishing, walking, French / English language classes, survival skills, horticulture, wood and metal craft, archery, mountain biking and golf.
We’re able to tailor experiences ranging from 3 days to two weeks for groups incorporating any of the above elements so don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your specific needs or ideas.
Onsite facilities at Moulin de Chantegrolle include:
15 beds in three separate accommodations (Gite, Studio 1 and Studio 2), heated yoga yurt (64m2), garden yoga studio (80m2), café and workshop space (50m2), ubiquitous wifi, treatment room, outdoor swimming pool, 3 acres of gardens.
Moulin de Chantegrolle is also available to hire for your own workshops and events for up to 100 people.
