Quality, farmer-focused coffees & teas and organic, local, seasonally-inspired food in a modern, bright space that is at the same time warm and welcoming.
It was a long-time dream to open up a cafe in our beloved hometown of rural Viroqua, Wisconsin (population 4500). And this finally became a reality when baker extraordinaire, Allison Sandbeck teamed up with Kickapoo Coffee owners, Caleb Nicholes and TJ Semanchin and building owner, Paul Deutsch to finally make it happen.
Located on Main Street, the cafe is a 1940's Mobil gas station turned specialty coffee shop. The transformation was a true labor of love, and we drew upon many local talents to create a modern, bright space that is at the same time warm and welcoming.
When you visit, you’ll discover a teeming bakery case and a light and hearty breakfast and lunch menu inspired entirely by the area’s local and organic bounty.
For more than a decade, we have been sourcing and roasting the highest quality, organic coffees and selling them to cafes, co-ops and grocery stores throughout the Upper Midwest and beyond. In opening this café, we’re honored to deepen the connection between the coffee growing communities with which we partner and our own and to showcase the hard work of farmers, near and far.
