Coffee Farming, Milling/Drying, Roasting, Packaging, Visitor Center

Ka“u Coffee Mill, founded by Edmund C. Olson, carries on a tradition of agriculture on Hawai‘is Big Island above the village of Pahala in the District of Ka‘u. Ka‘u Coffee is grown, hand-picked and milled on the slopes of Mauna Loa, the largest volcano on Earth, rising more than 30,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean floor. This renowned Ka‘u Coffee region lies on the edge of Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park and near the Ka‘u Coast, the longest uninhabited shoreline in Hawai‘i. Ka‘u Coffee is winning international awards.
Nothing beats coming here.
We invite you to stay in Pahala with our partners at the Pahala Plantation Cottages. Visit our farm, mill and roasting room, enjoy the aroma, taste the brew, and view original artwork by Kathleen Kam whose wildlife paintings grace our labels and our Visitor Center.
