The pub's history dates back as far as 1851, serving as the heart of the local rural community. Throughout history it has been run by families and it has served as the headquarters for numerous local businesses and crafts. A recent refurbishment has been welcomed, seeing a rise in guests from nearby towns including Upton, Arne and the idyllic Lytchett Bay.

With a sea view from every table, we're situated right on the beachside in Branksome Chine, midway between Poole and Bournemouth. We offer a relaxed and friendly experience in a superb setting with stunning views across Poole Bay. Featuring daily fresh fish dishes and the best in modern British cuisine, our restaurant uses the finest locally sourced seasonal produce, which is skilfully crafted into mouth watering and inventive dishes.

We are proud to offer you only quality produce, and strive to procure this locally wherever possible. Our coffee is roasted ethically using our recycled grounds in nearby Shaftesbury, our standard cuppa is Dorset tea (what else!) and we purchase our free range eggs and various other goods from quality local purveyors. A newly scaled-down menu ensures that we’re able to make everything fresh to order.

Selling a great selection of Draught beer, cask & keg, as well as a takeaway bottle shop, Drift is a unique Micro Bar in the heart of Poole Quay. Featuring live music every Friday and Saturday night, Drift supports the local musicians of Dorset, whilst creating a great atmosphere for its' customers. Also a Gin bar upstairs with bottles of unique, small batch gin, along with some giants of the gin world.

We’re open all day, every day from 9am until it’s late, and dark and we need to sleep, and no later than midnight. You can visit us just for a coffee, or a beer, or a slice of cake or a 3 course meal, basically, whatever you fancy, whenever you fancy.
