There's plenty to see. Mangawhai Museum celebrates life round our harbour from building ships to building sandcastles. Learn about an epic battle of the Maori wars, lost bullion still waiting to be found from the second world war, the early pioneers of our district and the struggle to save the critically endangered Fairy Tern.
The displays have been years in the making and will offer a trip down memory lane for some and for the younger people a chance to wonder at the stories of yesteryear in a visually entertaining way.
