In 1996, the Plymouth Piggly Wiggly was purchased by Kevin Mey and Jim Wieser, and was owned and operated by the partners until 2015. At that time, it was purchased by Bob Fox, making it the 3rd Piggly Wiggly store under ownership by Fox. The two other Fox’s Piggly Wiggly stores are located in Two Rivers and Manitowoc.
Fox’s Piggly Wiggly stores are very involved with local charities and organizations, and each location has certain causes they specifically support. Recently, Bob Fox was recognized by the State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development for his efforts to recruit and hire job seekers with disabilities. Fox was recognized for providing employment opportunities to people with disabilities and encouraging other businesses to provide opportunities for this skilled, dedicated, and capable workforce.
Fresh, friendly, and close to home continues to be the motto at this store.
