Brewery Outré produces ales and lagers inspired and influenced by the Michigan countryside. We aim to showcase the "Terroir" of Michigan in each glass.
Outré (say "ooh-tray"): unusual and startling, i.e. weird, queer, outlandish, far out, freakish, quirky, zany, off-center, unconventional, unorthodox, funny, bizarre, fantastic, unusual, singular, extraordinary, strange, unfamiliar, peculiar, odd.
Brewery Outré is a "virtual" brewery (meaning we don't own our own brewery) that has partnered with American Brewers, Inc (known for Confliction Mead) in Kalamazoo to produce specialty beer for local distribution.
Our focus includes beers with 100% Michigan-grown ingredients (including yeast strains native to Michigan!), beer-wine hybrids and mixed-culture fermentations.
