Tumblong Tavern Bar and Adelong Crossing Cafe are located within the Adelong Crossing Hotel built in 1905
The Adelong Crossing Hotel dates back to 1905 and was right on what was the old Hume Highway . It originally offered accomodation in 5 bedroomsandstablesforthehorses.Unfortunately the stables have gone and 2 of bedrooms became the toilets and the Hotel became the Tumblong Tavern fortunately due to some dodgey rendering the original Adelong Crossing Hotel sign remained intact
,Orignally just sitting in a paddock on the side of the highway the building is now surrounded by beautiful gardens
with olive treees rosemary and lavender creating a fantastic backdrop to cafe courtyard and rear covered deck and beer garden .
From North: Take an exit to “Tumblong Road”, or
From South: Take the Sylvias Gap / Adelong exit next another of Tumblongs most iconic scenic attractions , The Car Wreckers Yard.
