The Alexandra has been many things in its past, hotel, hostelry and of course a community pub. Lots of people know The Alexandra as The Alex.
The building dates from around c1830 and during those many years has had lots of external colour changes. I have been told that it was named after Queen Alexandra (1844-1925), wife of Edward VII.

The Alexandra was closed on 16th May 2015 for a major re-fit and opened on 20th June 2015. The external of the building changed it's colour again from green to cream, internally walls have been knocked down and the pub has been opened up fully.
We are a community pub who welcome all, food is served now 7 days a week, with a great selection of real ales, lagers, wines and spirits.
The pub has so far this year had 2 beer festivals plus family fun days. We now 2 darts teams. We have a bar billiards table plus traditional pub games. Plus sky sports shown on one of our many TV's
