Due to poor returns from dairying and no longer content with only supplying milk only as a wholesaler, we decided we wanted to diversify. As lovers of good ice cream, and with a lack of ice cream manufacturers in the area, we made the decision to produce our own high quality ice cream and there was no better way to do it than using fresh whole milk from our own herd. This is how Stewart Tower Dairy began.
The cows are the backbone of the operation at Stewart Tower. Without their fresh milk we would not have the key ingredient to make our ice cream. They are all of Holstein Friesian breed - the majority of which are black and white.
Situated in the heart of beautiful Perthshire our Holstein cows graze the green pastures of Stewart Tower producing quality milk which we use to make specialist Italian Gelato style ice cream here on the farm.
Stewart Tower Ice Cream can be experienced by visiting our large parlour located in converted steadings on the farm. You can savour the flavour and creaminess of our ice cream whilst sitting in the converted roundhouse or on the purpose built patio overlooking the Strathmore valley.
