Our olives revel in the perfect Mediterranean climate and rich organically-farmed, gravelly loam soils. Our award winning olive oils are the result of a long-term labour of love and commitment to sustainable ethical agriculture combined with organic farming principles.
THE OLIO BELLO STORY
The Olio Bello story began with a vision when an American couple fell in love with a rundown dairy farm situated on undulating land with sweeping views in Cowaramup, Margaret River.
Seeing the opportunity to rehabilitate the land as a vibrant ecosystem, they began revegetating the 320 acre property and planting thousands of native trees and shrubs, introducing olives in 1992. Since then, 10,000 trees comprising 14 different varieties have been planted. Our first olives were harvested in 1998 and since then, Olio Bello has steadily gained industry recognition, becoming one of the most awarded producers of organic extra virgin olive oil in Australia.
Every year, we welcome thousands of visitors from around the world who learn about our commitment to sustainable farming practices and the production of our oils, gourmet deli lines and beauty products. We also share our knowledge of the organic lifestyle and health benefits associated with extra virgin olive oil.
