The recently refurbished Norman Centre offers a variety of retail experiences in Broad Street’s most beautiful shopping centre.
In 2011 Norman Centre announced it was closing to undertake a major electrical upgrade. For the first time in its then 33 year history, the Iconic Norman Centre closed it's doors. What happened next was an evolution of major design, infrastructure and aesthetic renovations which spanned 3 years. The project took on a life which breathed modern style into the functionality with all new building codes and standards.
The goal was to modernise and open up the space while maintaining Norman Centre's intimate boutique styled shopping centre experience. Every measure was taken to ensure the safety and security of the customers and all the new features would be seamlessly integrated into the final design. The challenge was always to create a new feeling space, while maintaining the Iconic Norman Centre authenticity and having to work with an existing structure.
The task was complex and exciting. The outcome is beautiful. Norman Centre is truly one of the best shopping centres in Barbados and is now ready to lead the way in experience, uniqueness and success. This is our new story....
