CAGES Shanghai was opened with the goal of creating a place that brings sport and social activities together under one roof in downtown Shanghai. By creating a professional grade batting cage and first-class sports bar, patrons may play hard on the field or watch comfortably from the sidelines.
Located in the heart of Jing’an District, CAGES is just a short drive or subway ride away from anywhere in Downtown Shanghai. A ten minute walk from Line 7 Changping Road Station, CAGES is convenient by any means of transportation.
The batting cages are state of the art, with a turfed area large enough to house four hitting lanes and an additional multi-use turf area. The pitching machines are imported American Iron Mike machines from Master Pitch, the same machines used in many of the top facilities in the United States. The batting cage area was design with the attitude that a professional grade batting cage should be available in Shanghai.
Individual and group instruction, along with baseball camps and clinics are run by CAGES’ qualified team of instructors. Comprised of former professional and NCAA baseball players, CAGES’ coaching staff boasts some of the premier US coaching talent in China. Whether it’s pitching, hitting, base-running, or the mental approach to the game, CAGES’ coaching staff covers it in its individual instruction, camps and clinics.
During youth individual or group instruction, parents or friends have options to watch on from the second level viewing deck above the turf area or from the directly adjoining sports bar. The 200 square meter sports bar is situated beside the turf area and offers a full view of the action. With a fully-stocked bar and menu of American favorites, you can pull up a chair and watch your friends swing and miss or catch your favorite sports teams on CAGES’ HD televisions.
