Aihara Shuzou, which makes the sake Ugo no Tsuki ( Moon after the rain), was founded in 1875 in Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture.
The name "Ugo no Tsuki" comes from the title of a short story written by the Meiji period novelist, Roka Tokutomi. With that name in mind, our aim is to create a lucent sake that bathes its surroundings in light. Care is taken to use only the best brewer's rice and water for an elegant and beautiful drink.
Ugo no Tsuki can be enjoyed with meals or when spending a fun evening with great friends. We are delighted that you have chosen our brand to help increase those joyous occasions.
When it comes to making sake, the culture and tradition of the land is important.
While we have invested in the newest equipment, we still carefully make sake without cutting corners.
The diligently crafted Ugo no Tsuki has been met with praise from reviewers and sake lovers to taking home the gold in the Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyokai (a national competition for newly-made sake).
